It is always a joy when Grandma and Grandpa from Oregon come and visit us here in Southern California. Since we finished our new garden we thought it would be the perfect backdrop for an outdoor dinner and concert. The boys have had extra time since covid-19 hit to practice their instruments. After smoking pork all day we enjoyed some pulled pork sandwiches on our back patio and then Owen opened up the concert with two pieces, Bingo and a special happy birthday song for Grandma Gray. Jackson then took center stage to perform Gavotte by Gossec. Caleb and Lindsay finished with a Violin duet slow movement from a Mozart Sonata in A major and then finished with an on-core violin clarinet duet, Roses from the South by Johan Strauss.
All in all it was a beautiful evening of good food, music and fellowship. We will have to do it again really soon but until then enjoy some pictures of our evening below!
